AI for construction companies: estimates out the same day, no inquiry missed

AI per Aziende is an Italian studio that builds custom AI tools for construction companies, builders and renovation firms. An assistant replies to homeowners asking for a price on your website and WhatsApp and collects photos, rough sizes and timing; from your site-visit notes the AI lays out a draft estimate with your own line items and rates, and you approve it. Everything begins with a free 30-minute intro call.

Where the day goes

  • Renovation inquiries that arrive at all hours

Homeowners planning a project message on Sunday night and contact several builders at once. Whoever replies first with sensible questions gets the site visit; whoever replies on Tuesday may find the job already promised.

  • Estimates that take a week to go out

After the visit you have to line up demolition, debris removal, plumbing and electrical, finishes and contingencies. Between live jobs and phone calls the estimate slips, and the homeowner compares other offers in the meantime.

  • Bid packages read late at night

A bid invitation or a private spec can run to dozens of pages. Working out the requirements, the documents to submit and the deadlines eats hours a small firm's office simply doesn't have.

  • Clients asking for updates every day

People renovating their home want to know when the flooring arrives and what it costs to move the shower. Every call interrupts someone, and answers given over the phone are never written down anywhere.

What the AI actually does

An assistant that handles estimate requests

On your website and WhatsApp it replies straight away with your firm's real details: the work you take on, areas you cover, how soon you can visit. It asks for the type of job, photos, rough size and preferred start date, then hands you a tidy summary.

Example
Sunday, 9 pm: a couple writes through your site about a new kitchen and bathroom in a walk-up apartment three flights up. The assistant asks for photos and floor area; by 7 am Monday the summary is waiting and you offer two visit slots.

Draft estimates from your site-visit notes

Dictate what you saw and measured, and the AI lays out the draft with your price list and your own line items: labor, materials, waste removal, a contingency line, validity and payment terms. You check quantities and rates and send it; nothing goes out by itself.

Example
You leave a full-remodel walkthrough and dictate: 'knock out the kitchen partition wall, new screed over sixty square meters, full bathroom remodel, dumpster for debris'. By the time you're back at the office the draft is ready, on your letterhead and numbered.

One-page summaries of bid documents

Upload the bid invitation or the specification and the AI pulls out a summary sheet: requirements, documents to prepare, deadlines, whether a site visit is mandatory. Reading the full package and deciding to bid stay with you or your adviser.

Example
Tuesday brings a bid invitation for maintenance work at a school, forty pages of conditions. A few minutes later you have the summary with requirements and dates, and you know straight away whether it's worth bidding.

Client updates and change orders

When a homeowner asks how things are going or what a change would cost, the assistant drafts the reply from what you've already recorded and, where needed, a draft change order. You check the price and approve before it's sent.

Example
A client asks on WhatsApp when the tiles arrive and what it costs to move the shower three feet. The assistant drafts the delivery date and the change order; you adjust the figure and reply in a minute.

Site visits booked with reminders

Homeowners pick a free slot from a booking page and get automatic reminders before the appointment. Fewer wasted trips and fewer rounds of calls just to agree on a date.

Example
The homeowner who wants the front of his house redone books Thursday at 5 pm, gets the reminder the day before and moves it to Friday himself because something came up, without calling you on site.

A tool built for your office

If your office has a repetitive task no off-the-shelf app covers, we build it from the data you already keep. We start with the real problem, not a package that's the same for everyone.

Example
A builder wants to compare each finished job's original estimate with the hours and materials actually used, to see which work makes money: we build the comparison that fills itself in job by job.

How we get started

Three steps, and the first one is a no-strings conversation.

  1. 1

    Free intro call

Half an hour online: you tell us how inquiries come in, who writes the estimates and how long they take, how you handle bids and homeowners. Together we decide what's worth automating and what isn't.

  2. 2

A prototype built on your price list

We put together a first version with your rates, your estimate line items and the questions you normally ask clients. You see it working on real inquiries before you agree to anything.

  3. 3

    Rolled out in your firm

Your office and you use it through normal weeks while we fix and maintain it. Estimates, change orders and replies stay drafts until someone in your firm approves them.

Why AI per Aziende

No estimate sends itself

Estimates, change orders and client messages are always drafts waiting for approval. You set the price every time, and the client only receives what you have seen.

We build the software ourselves

Businesses hire and pay us to build management tools, WhatsApp and Telegram bots and data-processing programs. We also have three vertical management platforms online that we designed and wrote ourselves.

Your rates and clients stay yours

Prices, estimates and client details are used only by your tool and aren't used to train other models. If you ever stop working with us, the code and instructions stay with your company.

Frequently asked questions

How can a construction company use AI?

Mostly in the office. AI replies to estimate requests that arrive out of hours, lays out draft estimates from site-visit notes, condenses bid documents into a summary sheet and drafts replies to homeowners. People still make the decisions: prices, whether to bid and what gets sent are approved by you, while the AI takes over the repetitive writing and searching.

Can AI do construction estimating and takeoffs?

Dedicated takeoff tools exist that measure quantities from digital drawings, and a person should still check what they produce. We don't measure from drawings. Our AI works one step later: it takes the quantities from your notes or your estimator and turns them into a priced draft with your own rates and line items, ready for you to review.

What is the best software for a small construction company?

It depends on what slows you down. Established construction platforms cover job costing, scheduling and documents, and they suit many firms. If instead you lose estimate requests, take days to reply, or have an office task no app covers, a tool built around your process is worth more. We'll say so plainly on the free call, even when the answer is an off-the-shelf product.

Can AI help a small builder bid on public projects?

It can shorten the reading. You upload the bid documents and get a summary of requirements, documents to submit, deadlines and site-visit obligations, so you decide earlier whether bidding is worth it. It doesn't replace your adviser or whoever prepares the bid, it doesn't guarantee you win, and every submitted document still needs checking by a person.

Do I need to change my accounting or estimating software?

No. We start from the tools you already use. To be clear, right now we don't connect directly to construction software installed in your office. We produce estimates, change orders and reports as PDFs you can pass to your office or your accountant, so your current system keeps running alongside the new tools without any migration.

How much does AI cost for a construction company?

The price depends on what we build: an assistant that gathers estimate requests is a smaller project than a system handling estimates, change orders and bids together. Each quote is built on your scope, not a rate card. After the free 30-minute intro call you get a clear price before any work begins, and if AI won't help your firm we'll tell you.

Are my client details and rates safe?

Price lists, estimates and client details belong to your company and are used only to run your tool: we don't use them to train other models. Should you end the relationship, the assistant's code and instructions remain with your firm. And no estimate, change order or message reaches a client unless you have approved it first.
